Junior D's overcome Skryne !
Congratulations and well done to our Junior 'D' team who defeated Skryne on Saturday 26th June in Simonstown, with a final score of 3-13 to 0-3 ! Well done lads ! Match report to follow.
Ladies' Football mentors ! The Ladies' Football Committee are inviting applications from existing mentors and parents who would like to get more involved with the club, for the positions of mentors for the upcoming U-11, U-13, and U-19 campaigns. Street Leagues Grand Final
On Saturday the 12th June, the club hosted the Grand Finals of the street leagues. We had everything – glorious sunshine on tap, tea and coffee, Eugene and the girls manning the barbecues, but most of all – the club’s future stars on show ! After a parade around pitch one, with all the “county “ teams, led by the drummer and piper from the Dublin Fire Brigade band, the games began ! The day was rounded off by the medal presentation . Well done to the Juvenile Committee and mentors ( and parents ) , who did such a fantastic job of organising the day , and congratulations to all the players – the future looks bright indeed !

Donaghmore / Ashbourne GAA Golf Classic and Barbecue
The Annual Golf Classic was held in Ashbourne Golf Club on Friday the 11th of June. The sun came up trumps on the day, staying bright and warm .The event was a resounding success, with 46 teams taking part, some fantastic prizes, both for the Golf and for the subsequent draw at the après-golf barbecue in the clubhouse! The magnificent first prize – Round of Golf for four at Edenderry Golf Club and B&B in the Ambrock Hotel in Mullingar, plus a round of Golf in Mullingar Golf Club – was arranged courtesy of Bernard Flynn, former Meath legend. Congratulations to the SuperValu Team, led by Stephen Molloy, who won first prize, with a score of 97! Our very own Senior Ladies’ manager, Mark Power, saw his team come in third, with an impressive score of 93! Mark’s team won B&B at Carton house, plus a round of golf for four. Other prizes included dinner, B&B at Mount Wolesely, round of golf at the K- Club and the Heritage. Well done to the Adult Football Committee, with great support and assistance from the club Golf Society, who ran the event like clockwork. A word of thanks to all our sponsors, numbering in excess of 50,. A special thank you to our chief sponsor Hugh Maguire Butchers, whose involvement with supporting the club stretches back to 2005, when he supplied polo shirts to our U-14 ladies for their final! In addition to being chief sponsor, Hugh supplied the succulent steaks – one case where the reality looked exactly like the poster! Many thanks to the ladies manning the barbecues from early evening until the last hungry golfers arrived - take a bow Eithne Tormey, Mary O’Shaughnessy, Annette Menton, Bernie Ellis, Ali Fitzgerald, Niamh Mooney, Mary Benville, Marlinda Fitzgerald, Finola Delaney and Liz Durkan ! Changes to Food Served in Clubhouse
Sunday Carvery Lunch will no longer be served in the clubhouse.
A Bistro menu will now be served every weekend in the club.
The bistro menu is available every Friday and Saturday from 5pm - 9pm and Sundays 12pm - 5pm.
