Our Under 15 's played their first match of the 2010 campaign at home to Boardsmill. It was a case of quality and not quantity on the day as we struggled to round-up fifteen players to field a team. After a slow start by both sides Donaghmore\Ashbourne were first into their stride with a goal and a point from Maggie Randle .This seemed to shock Boardsmill into life and their goal was the last score
before half-time.

Half-time score Don\Ash 1-1  Boardsmill 1-0.

The second half began with Boardsmill in control with them putting their second goal onto the score board. However Don\Ash immediately retaliated sending the ball straight up the field to Maggie who got her second goal of the game. This injected some more determination back into Boardsmill and they spent the next 10 mins camped in the Don\Ash half scoring 2-2 without reply. All credit to Don\Ash who didn't give up and finished the game the stronger with Maggie Randle completing her hat-trick before the finish.
For a first match of the year it was a great effort all round given some of our girls hadn't even started training due to exam commitments.
Our next match is away to Dunderry on Sunday the 28th of February and hopefully everyone will be available for this match.
