Paul Martin Memorial at Donaghmore/Ashbourne
A Memorial match to Paul Martin will take place on Saturday 3rd October at 7.00pm at Donaghmore/Ashbourne CLG.

Paul Martin was tragically killed in a car accident just outside Kilkenny in October last year and we wish to remember him with this memorial match. Paul was a lifetime player and member of Donaghmore/Ashbourne CLG having played through underage and adult football for the club. He played a pivotal role in Donaghmore/Ashbourne’s Division 3B league success where he lined out at full-back at Pairc Tailteann. He was just 30 years when he tragically passed away.

The Donaghmore/Ashbourne Junior team will host Kinawley GFC from Fermanagh and the game will start at 7.00pm. Kinawley is the home club of Paul's parents Gerry and Catherine. Catherine passed away days before Paul's death and this was a tragic time for the family. Paul had a passion for Fermanagh and Meath football. Kinawley recently won the Fermanagh Intermediate Championship and we look forward to a competitive meeting.
There will be entertainment with Stephen Rooney in the bar afterwards and the presentation of the Memorial Trophy. We invite all friends and football followers to join us for this memorial evening.

Any players who have played with Paul through the years and would like to be part of the Memorial match, please make yourself known to Peter Fitzpatrick on 087-2555559.
