'Camán - Get A Grip'
 
In accordance with our Camogie development plan launched in June 2011, we are hosting our camogie specific coaching course.
'Caman Get a Grip' is an exciting Camogie coach education course launched in 2008. This course is aimed at coaches/parents/teachers who are starting coaching for the first time or who have been coaching for a while but do not have any qualification. You do not need to be able to play Camogie to coach it well. This is a two evening course, run over  the 3rd and 10th February, 6pm til 1015pm. You must be over 16 years of age to do this course.

Modules on the course include:

• the different Camogie Grips and how to coach them

• the role of a coach

• the importance of mini games

• how to introduce fundamental movements to coaching sessions

• how to break down playing skills into key points and how to then progress the skill learning for players

• the importance of planning coaching sessions.

Cost of course: Members €15
                Non Members €30
